You can get your decay down to 0, letting your money go that much furhter. Greece is indirectly decent, of you're going to be allying CS. ![]() The rationalism policy for +1 science on TP lets you buy even more expensive toys sooner. The reduced road costs will add up if you go wide (which you should), with the +1 per TP adding a big boost. All of the extra culture lets you get the commerce tree faster. The second part of this is the cultural CS. Also setting it to 41 CS, though you can still get unlucky and only have a few maritimes. To maixmise this you have to play on bigger maps, and marathon helps. Your cities can grow pretty big (especially your capital) and/or you can spam trade posts everywhere. IF you're in a game where you don't have to compete for CS allies, AND there are maritimes to ally (the more the better), you can leverage all of that extra food. But you can basically call it an extra 8gpt per lux you own. Or the difference between selling a lux or not having a spare to sell (because you need it for happiness). That's twice as much money from trades, assuming you can sell all of them.
